Ne želim ništa govoriti prije nego što Brawn i ostatak Libertyja krenu s radom i konkretnim potezima, ali moram reći da zvuče obećavajuće. Brawn said that he too was sceptical about the use of gimmicks, like DRS, double points and elimination qualifying, that have been pushed through in a bid to artificially create excitement.
"We must avoid, as has happened in recent years, falling into the temptation to artificially create the show," he said.
"But I agree on the need to make sure that there is more competition. To do this we need patience, we can not overhaul everything. To switch from black to white would be a mistake: this is a complex sport."

Although sketching out a five-year plan, Brawn did suggest in a separate interview with the BBC that he had ideas that he wanted introduced as early as 2018.
"We need to make sure there is no artificial solutions," Brawn said. "The drag reduction system; everyone knows it's artificial. We need to find purer solutions.
"We need to think through the solutions. I have ideas - I can't share them all with you because I want to share them with the teams first - but I have ideas of things we should start to study and perhaps use in '18 or '19."

"The third is creating a much more democratic approach in terms of how we approach our partners – from teams/sponsors/promoters and rights holders. There is a lot of opportunity to leverage the F1 IP to integrate it to their businesses.
"And the last one, is the race experience. Creating a better race experience that engages fans, spectators there and on television is a huge opportunity."

Iako je riječ o sjajnoj borbi mislim da ova situacija jasno pokazuje zašto nebi bilo pametno u potpunosti ukinuti DRS s trenutnim pravilima. Naime, Schumacher je prešao Montoyu na početku 17. kruga. Na početku 19. kruga Schumi već ima 4.5 sekunde prednosti iz čega se može zaključiti da je u toj fazi utrke Schumacherov Ferrari bio cca. dvije sekunde po krugu brži od Williamsa. Ne znam za vas, ali meni nije normalno da bolidu koji je dvije sekunde po krugu brži treba 5-6 krugova da pređe vozača ispred sebe. To znači da vozač koji je 0.5 sekundi po krugu brži (što je isto dosta) ne treba ni pomišljati na pretjecanje te mu je jedina šansa preći vozača ispred sebe kroz bokseve (u to vrijeme preko overucta, a u današnje preko undercuta). A mislim da nitko ovdje ne želi gledati utrkivanje kroz bokseve nego izravne borbe na stazi. MS je propišao krv da vrati poziciju od JPMa. Stiskao je i pripremao preticanje 5-6 krugova. Čak je u jednom momentu prošao ciljnu liniju sa 0,145sec zaostatka i nije uspio proći ispred na kraju ravnine. I kad ga je prešao, bilo je to uz malu pomoć (grešku) JPMa. A pitanje je kako bi riješili Trullog, da se ovaj nije izvrtio i izletio.
