Statistički najuspješniji vozač današnjice imao je sezonu za zaborav. Osim što je prvi put izgubio od momčadskog kolege, stalno se mučio s bolidom i kvarovima. Pred kraj prošle sezone je odlučio napustiti Red Bull i preći u Ferrari te tako slijediti puteve svog uzora, Michaela Schumachera. U Ferrariju se već mogu čuti priče kako je Vettel u momčad unio duh svježine i zajedništva, te za Nijemca stižu samo pohvale. Može li Vettel podignuti Ferrari kao što je to nekada napravio veliki Schumi?

Hmmm.... Ferrari danas radi duge krugove i testira aerodinamiku, tj. uglavnom su od početka testova u Barceloni negdje u toj fazi razvijanja, dok je npr. Mercedes to forsirao više u Jerezu. Također je rečeno da danas sigurno neće raditi simulacije utrke.. koje još do sada nisu radili.

Ak' ništa drugo ovaj izraz nam daje nadu da će se pojaviti na prvoj utrci dosta jači nego prošle godine..

Josipe ti se stvarno trudiš sa ovim vremenima, vrlo profesionalno urađeno

Josipe, Kimi je jučer išao po dvije sekunde brže. Istina na mediumu, ali nije tolika razlika između njih.,
Tako da sva ova vremena treba uzeti s velikom rezervom, tko zna koliko je tko goriva ulio.

Jako konzistentno, osim onog kruga 1:32,432 ... tu je možda bio malo van staze....

Znam Explorer... To sam i ja rekao. Istina, brzi je bio Kimi jucer na mediumu, ali se ne zna koliko je tko imao goriva...

Ali kako ova testiranja odmicu, cini mi se da cemo jos jednom gledati veliku dominaciju Mercedesa ove godine.
A Ferrari mi je i dalje nepoznanica. Cini mi se da imaju dobar pace, koliko sam mogao vidjeti po long runovima....
Williams je tu negdje iza Merca.
Za ostale ne znam.....

Sebastian Vettel Q&A: Ferrari should be a perfect fit

Fourth in the Barcelona test times on Friday, with almost 150 laps on the board - it looks like the combination of Sebastian Vettel and Ferrari is starting to gel. But how does the four-time world champion feel he is settling into his new home? Here’s what he had to say after his latest session in the SF15-T…

Q: Sebastian, 143 laps in one day - that looked like a pretty good workload for a test day…
Sebastian Vettel: Yes, it was - and I am really happy with how well it went. No issues, no problems, nothing broken. Sometimes the red flags interfered a bit with our running plan, but overall a pretty good day. What we will read out of that day? We will have to analyse it. Of course the time Nico (Rosberg) did was a stunner, but in reality it was clear that they would be at the front as nobody loses the gap that they had in 2014 in the blink of an eye.

Q: What were your laps like on the soft tyres?
SV: To be honest I was pretty happy with them. Nowhere near compared to the lap times Nico did, but that was at a different point in the day with a set-up that was different. All in all I’ve got into the groove well and had a couple of decent runs and no issues to get the tyres up to temperature. Even on the hard compounds later on it was fine. If you are able to do that amount of laps you develop a pretty good feeling that things are moving in the right direction.

Q: How comfortable do you feel now?
SV: Of course we would all like to have more time in the car, doing more mileage, getting better prepared - but this is what we have and it’s the same for all of us. I feel that we are in good shape, even though there are things that have to be addressed before Melbourne. Be assured that we are working very hard on it. Our main focus is to get quicker - but that is the aim of every team here! (laughs) And to answer the question: I feel very well. The tests so far have contributed a lot to that feeling. Of course things take time, as growing into a team that works a bit differently requires that - even though every single team member is trying to make it as easy for me as possible.

Q: Your day looked rather flawless - was it really that easy? Where are little glitches still hiding?
SV: Ha, if I tell this they would probably give me a piece of their mind! (laughs) One thing is for sure: you definitely want to do well at the first race, but you also want to finish that first race - and in that mould we are working.

Q: Would you say that the combination of you and Ferrari will be competitive from the very first race?
SV: I would say that the path to the very top right now still leads via Mercedes and it is our aim not only to draw level with them but to surpass them - and that is a very ambitious goal. But let’s stick to the moment: it is much too early to make any statement on how things will develop. We simply haven’t seen enough yet to stick the head out. Starting the season well is the aim right now - and then let’s take it from there.

Q: Does joining Ferrari mean some kind of matriculation examination for you?
SV: I leave this answer to the outside world. The change felt right for me - and it gives me a lot of joy. In many ways you could say that it is a dream come true - but dream is a rather immaterial term. But my ambition is to be right there at the top again - not only for me but also in terms of the team. In this respect we should make a perfect fit.

Vettel hopes Ferrari can be Mercedes' closest rivals

Four times Formula One world champion Sebastian Vettel hopes Ferrari can become the strongest challengers to Mercedes this season after failing to win a race last year.

Vettel, who moved from Red Bull at the end of last year, said on Thursday it could take some time for it to happen however.

"It depends how strong and dominant Mercedes will start into the season," said the German, speaking at a sponsor event. "It is expected that they will be very strong. But for the pack behind them it will be very tense."

"I hope that we are there and establish ourselves in the mid to long term this season as the second force. That would be a huge step forward."

Mercedes' double world champion Lewis Hamilton and Nico Rosberg are widely expected to dominate again this year with the Briton winning 11 races and his team mate five last season.

The 'Silver Arrows' have looked ominous in testing ahead of the season-opening Australian Grand Prix in Melbourne on March 15.

McLaren's Fernando Alonso will be absent from Australia on doctors' orders, with the Spaniard still recovering from his crash in testing in Barcelona last month.

Alonso spent three nights in hospital last week after losing control and hitting the wall in testing in Barcelona on Feb. 22.

"I was directly behind him but still too far away to clearly see how the accident happened. I only saw the end of it," Vettel said.

"The crash did not look that dramatic. Obviously it was a shock to hear that he lost consciousness in the first moments and that he unfortunately suffered a concussion. But thank God it was not worse."

Baš sam pročitala ovo i sad sam praktički sigurna kako je Vettel već na testiranju u Jerezu 2014 odlučio da neće više vozit za Red Bull i vjerovatno je svim silama htio baš u Ferrari. Sad ovo šta piše da je u jednom trenutku 2014 sve zamrlo, možda je to baš bio taj trenutak kad je Vettel izjavio da ima ugovor s Red Bullom i da ne ide nikamo, a onda 2 dana kasnije objavljuje da odlazi.
Sad mi neke stvari imaju puno više smisla....
