Since his first appearance in Formula 1 in 2019, George Russell has always been ahead of his team-mate in qualifying. Although his first goal in Formula 1 is to win just one point, Russell has been praised by many drivers such as Lewis Hamilton and Fernando Alonso. But he said he doesn’t want to dwell too much on such things, but wants to face the pressure that comes primarily from himself.
"Obviously I really appreciate these compliments, no doubt."
"It's almost background noise, really, because I know I have to keep performing from week to week."
"As fantastic as the pats on the back and the compliments of these guys were, I have to back it up with the work I'm doing on the track."
"I put the most pressure on myself, not on anyone else."

Russell has been part of Mercedes ’junior program since 2017, and everyone sees in him a future successor to Hamilton or Bottas. After Russell's collision behind a safety car in Imola, Hamilton supported him and commented on Russell as he saw him:
"This year, it was just great how he coped with everything and what he did with that car, going through the second qualifying round often and really bringing great results."
"I'm really impressed with his work in racing and the way he's growing, I really think he's the future."
"There are several drivers who are the future of this sport, but he is one of them that I am excited about when I see his progress."
"I have no doubt he has the potential to be a future champion."

Impressive result on Saturday, but again Kubica and Latifi are not for F1, I guess that is clear to us, there are better ones.
But again, Kubica defeated him last year, and it seems to me that Latifi will defeat him this year as well. Russel last two years P20 and P21.
He didn’t enchant me with rides on Sundays, but good… Drives Williams after all.
It will be interesting to see if Mercedes will, for example, put a guy in the car next year who did not win a point in his F1 career. And I think he will soon break Chilton's record for the number of races driven without winning a point. I think Chilton is holding him, if not correct me.

I think that record is held by Luca Badoer, with about 50 races without a point. Although, it should be said that Badoer drove at a time when only the top 6 were scored (with today's scoring system he would have 26 points) + he had incredible bad luck throughout his career .. he brought car buckets to 4th place, just to roared the engine and was left with nothing (e.g. Nurburgring 1999).

If any of these records in F1 are incomparable then it is scoring. There has been everything and everything over the years, but never have so many points been shared.

In my opinion, the slightly more exciting season actually took away our scoring in part.

Russell and Chilton are currently in third place with 35 .. In front of George is another Pic and Badoer who has 50 starts without points ..

George could set a record for most starts without a single point and then win the championship with Mercedes. Easily possible.

Possibly… Although he is not something wooow to me .. He is still young, he can progress…

it would be really something amazing… but what he has shown on the track so far, with the uncompetitive Williams, the champion's crown is inevitable

I don’t mind not winning points at Williams. He can win them there only with a great combination of circumstances.
He raised his eyebrow a little, with some rides on Sunday. Somehow, even when he gets into a situation where he is close to points, he does something stupid at those very moments.
There is speed in qualifying. And it has a very high level. We'll see about the rest.

He is an F2 champion. He must be a top driver.

Only the championships in F1 say who is top notch? Oops, I forgot it's not worth it anymore.

And Mick will be. They are all top drivers. Russell came to Williams and what should he win?

A good driver in a bad team.
