The Turkish GP was very successful for both Ferrari drivers. They finished third and fourth, scoring 27 points for their team. Racing Point is currently in third place with 154 points, McLaren in fourth place with 149 points, Renault in fifth place with 136 points and Ferrari in sixth place with 130 points. After poor qualifiers in Turkey, McLaren drivers still finished in points, in fifth and eighth place.
"Obviously it was great for us to achieve this result because it kept us fighting for the constructors' championship."
"Which is good, but we definitely don't have, I'd say the third or fourth fastest car at the moment in this fight."
"And with what we've seen from Ferrari, another good result and suddenly there's a fight between the four teams for third place."Andreas Seidl
Asked if he was worried about Ferrari's approach, Seidl said he was not worried, but only realistic. He also said he knows what a team like Ferrari can do with all the resources at their disposal.
“So we have never underestimated this strength that Ferrari has. They have two great drivers, and obviously a great team. So that is the reality we are in.Andreas Seidl
He also commented on the condition of their car this year, saying that the car is competitive compared to last year, but that the competition has intensified. Finally, he gave a small overview of what they need to work on:
"It's important that we focus on ourselves now."
“To see that we can still get more performance out of the car, especially on Saturdays. It's important to keep the level of reliability at a higher level. ”
“Then it will be important to have clean racing weekends, to optimize work in terms of strategy, in terms of pit stops. And together with our two good drivers, I think we can keep this battle alive. And that's what we're focusing on. "Andreas Seidl
