After yesterday cancellation of the Australian Grand Prix, The FIA has confirmed the expected decision to postpone according to the schedule of upcoming races in Bahrain and Vietnam.

The Bahraini Grand Prix is scheduled to take place in the coming weeks, while the first Vietnam GP is ever scheduled to take place on the weekend of April 3-5. From Formula 1, they said they would “monitor the situation and take enough time to study the possibility of potential alternative dates for both races later in the year if the situation improves,” adding that they expect the season to start in late May.

"Formula 1 and the FIA expect the championship to start in Europe at the end of May, but given the sharp increase in cases of COVID-19 virus in Europe in recent days, this will be regularly reviewed," reads a joint statement from F1 and the FIA.

The first race on the schedule that has not been postponed is now the Grand Prix of the Netherlands, but its current date is at the very beginning of May, more precisely, May 3. Two weeks after the Netherlands, Spain is scheduled, followed by Monaco on May 24 - a date that could only be considered the end of the month.

The race scheduled after Monaco is the Grand Prix of Azerbaijan on June 7, for which we are in mentioned in an earlier article so that given the current situation it could be the first of the season.

I’m not even so disappointed that everything was postponed.
I hope that then in the summer we will have 6,7,8,9 months for 3-4 races per month.
